Dumitru Lupuliasa, President of the Romanian College of Pharmacists, states that the reimbursement list is finacialy covered only at 60%
In an interview for Medica Academica, Dumitru Lupuliasa, President of the Romanian College of Pharmacists, considers that the Romanian pharmaceutical industry faces an underfunding of the reimbursement list. In his opinion it has been covered only at 60% of the total amount needed.
Having drastically reduced national finaces, the economical turmoil determined players of the healthcare system to face unprecedented challenges. Giving this situation, Dumitru Lupuliasa thinks that new drugstores may be opened only in rural areas. “We have 6000 drugstores, an optimum case would require 7000 ones”, said Dumitru Lupuliasa for Medica Academica. Nevertheless, he believes that pharmacist's role remains crucial in any giving crisis case.
